Jeremy Woodruff

 

Jeremy Woodruff is a composer and researcher whose works have been presented internationally and whose publications engage a wide range of sound studies and musicological topics, including protest, urban gardens, and transcultural music theory. He is Senior Scientist, and Deputy Head of the Centre for Artistic Research (CEAR) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Previously, he taught Composition and Music Theory at the Istanbul Technical University Centre for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM) and KM Music Conservatory in Chennai, India.

He is a founding member of Errant Sound in Berlin. Most recently he was a founding co-curator of the Dystopia Sound Art Biennial 2024, is Director of the Sonic Borderlines ensemble project and Listening Series 2022, 2024, with the next edition forthcoming 2026 in Berlin. He is also currently Composer and Director in the Discussique research project in Graz and Berlin.
